WHAT WE DO IN MEETING FOR WORSHIP
Friends believe that God can speak directly to each of us through the ‘Light within’, so there is no need for an intermediary or clergyman in our times of worship.
Friends gather for Meeting for Worship by settling into silence.
We wait in that silence to try to experience the ‘Light within’.
Someone may be led to speak briefly out of the silence to share an experience or an idea which should come from the heart and be prompted by the spirit of God.
Time for contemplation should be left between messages.
A new message may or may not be connected to a previous message.
A totally silent meeting can be a profound and meaningful spiritual experience.
Meetings for Worship at Little Falls usually last about 45 minutes and always
end by shaking hands with those around us.
